So...are we thinking this is an actual legitimate trial? I've heard from a friend upstate that the Cam mighta sent an *rchon - that could mean this is serious.
Thoughts?

There's no WAY this doesn't end in an execution. LaCroix's done too much damage.

I would think if they wanted to execute him, they just...y'know, would have. It's not like they didn't have the option.

My guess? It's optics. It's either a show trial or a tax writeoff, or both.

Now that *THAT* shitshow's over with, we gotta keep an eye on the Ventrue. Even with LaCroix 6 feet under for a while, we're gonna need someone to keep eyes on them - they might have his assets now.

For the record- I have heard from several of the financial players in our fair city that the Kings are on the ropes after our Frenchman's sentencing, with various scavengers picking apart his portfolio for the juiciest holdings. Obviously his own closest associates have an advantage in getting to the stuff first, but there are definitely other big money interests involved.
